Senior Men’s Round 2 – April 16

Sunday – Premier A
Modbury SC 6 – TTGCSC 2

Round 2 action witnessed our Prem A’s and B’s heading to Smith Partners Stadium for a night fixture due to a heat cancellation on Sunday.

After an even opening to the game, Modbury took a stranglehold on the game capitalising on some errors from us defensively, shifting the momentum completely in Modbury’s favour in the first half.

After some half time tactical changes and a lift in effort, we once again saw a more even start to the second half. However, ultimately Modbury’s first half dominance led to them taking the points in a disappointing night for the Gully.

Senior Women’s Round 4 – April 11

Division 2 Women
TTGCSC 3 – FK Beograd 1

Our round 4 game was against another mid table team in FK Beograd, also with a 2 win 1 loss record for the season.

We started very well with Sarah scoring from a corner. Dani, our Captain, went down shortly after with a leg injury and our defence had to adjust to keep their speedy forwards from threatening.

Brooke kept their main striker quiet all night with a defensive master class. Rory and Brie were strong in centre back and started many of our attacks. Lailani was put into right full-back and had an incredible 90 minute game earning the 3 votes on a best on pitch performance.

Gabriella finished off some great work, coolly slotting our second. Bek finally unleashed her damaging right foot (and nearly her left in the second half) with the goal of the night.

Hailey had another classy game and would have slept well after a huge shift in the midfield.

Another strong performance securing a 3-1 win. We now turn our attention to our cup game against Division 1 Bosa on the 27th.

Junior & Colts – April 12/13

Due to the unseasonal hot weather, the Junior games were cancelled. Some games were registered as a “Wash Out”, others were “Postponed”.

We’ll send out updates if any of the games are tabled for a “Make Up” game at a later stage.
